Another calm ocean day for Don to take his kayak beyond the buoy to catch ling cod.  He was a little hesitant since no other kayak buddies were there, but he went alone.  Did you notice that he smiled for me??

Don took his kayak ocean fishing catching a ling cod and 2 reds.  He went out again yesterday and caught a black and a china cod.  The ocean was as calm as a lake. He paddles out past the buoy which is quite a distance.  Yesterday he lost a large cabezone that was on his stringer.  The one that got away!

These are some of my 'collaborative' pieces.  Arna will draw on them and then we'll work out a glaze.  I know that one piece got away from me, but Arna wanted to see what she could do with the wild one.  I'm starting on my xmas pieces, too.

My Santa Rosa day

On a quick trip to SR I checked out Murray after his gallblader surgery, lunch with Suzanne at the airport before her trip to Portland, visited Felicia and Erin in their new pad,  went to Mike and Debbie's to see Denise and Sophia who had just come from Redding, then home again jiggety jig.

It was a wonderful weekend with Mark, Glori, Ryan, and Myla!

Fun party at need 2 speed to celebrate Sophia's 2nd birthday.  The little ones had a great time sliding and bouncing for an hour.  They were full of smiles as they climbed back up the steps to slide down again, landing on top of one another and laughing.  I took photos with my IPAD but my camera was somewhere in the car under all of our camping gear.  Don and I spent 3 days at Iron Canyon before coming to Redding for the party.   Denise made a mickey mouse cake.  It was great to see Sophia, her parents, and grandparents.  Myla came to play, too.  I'm sorry not to have photos.

A glaze load ready for the gallery. I sold an $85 elephant pot and a $90 vase, besides all of my cups, so it has stimulated more throwing.

The forget-me-nots are so sweet, but the garden is very overwhelming right now with all of the millions of weeds!

Glori, Ryan, and Myla went to visit John and Maria. Ryan flew to Texas for a few days with Ralph and Ginny. Glori and Myla went to visit Glori's friend who has horses. Isn't she adorable!

There is some discussion about whether this float with 'musaski' written on it was from the tsunami or not. Don and Suzi pulled it off of the beach and then Don gave it to a friend who was going to use it when making a dock.

Coast Highway Art Collective opening reception

The gallery looks so much better with a new paint job. Everyone was impressed. Dan from Mariah vineyards donated a case of syrah that was very good. I sold enough to pay for my first month.
