Myla, Pandy, and I just before Christmas.  We had such a good visit until Ralph slipped into unconsciousness and then left us.  He was  a loving, and well loved father.

Glori brought a 3000 piece puzzle.  Don enjoys working on it!  So glad Murray made a turkey for us on Christmas.  Good to have Rex snuggled next to me.

Don finished the steps.  I posted this on FB and he got 40 likes and a bunch of comments.

 I had a lovely visit with the Chico family.  I went to Myla and Ryan's schools and checked out Mark's new office at CSU.

 Don built new steps at the Coast Highway Art Collective Gallery.  He cut old pickets to 3" and put them in the steps with sand to fill the gaps.  He's building a handrail today.

 We had fun with Murray, Suzanne, and Sean over Labor Day weekend. I enjoyed the Harbor fest but forgot my camera.  

Myla with her birthday gift.  We choose the pot and succulents which she felt would be a gift for the whole family since it is on the porch and welcoming people to their home.

We had a great time visiting the east coast family!!

Yay, Kalyani, Hannah, Joanna, and Susanna are here!!  Camping at Lassen, Felicia came for a night, and a visit to B Bryan Preserve.

Now Don and Scott are replacing the termite damaged roof.  Then we get ready for fumigation!

Here's my attempt at a 'selfie' with Arna.

I took this photo of Arna when I went to visit her in Portland in April.  She died June 24 with her granddaughter, Pilar, next to her after a 6 month diagnosis of lung cancer.  She was 81.

Oh, yes, here are 2 pics from our Vancouver Island trip in May. Top is crossing from Vancouver to Nanaimo on the island.  Bottom is at one of the many lush parks with old growth fir trees.

The pine staub that is coming down after the tree died last year. Don, Gary, and Mike are working on it.  Gary (82 years..) splits the rounds with an ax!!  Not all of them...only the clear ones.  I waxed a 3" round to make a pedestal table in a few years if it does not check.

Murray was up at 5:30 to prepare great ribs..."best ever" was one quote I heard.  Jay did the tritips and Mark did chicken wings..."great food"  for my 75th party.  Thanks guys!

Suzi made my birthday cake ...red velvet with cream frosting and chocolate ganache.  A big hit. Mark is helping with the ganache.

Don's 74th birthday weekend.  Murray, Suzanne, and Rex helped celebrate with bbq ribs, etc.

Sean, Caitlin, Mary and Tom came for the birthday dinner.

Mark is building a workshop shed by the side of his house for his tools, etc.

Don's catch from Iron Canyon.  He had more but shared some with Mike who didn't catch any.  The big brown was 18"!

Our San Francisco trip:

Monday, we met Murray, Suzanne, Sean, and Caitlin at Sears Point for a walk around the bird preserve.  Then on to SF where Vicki Dooling generously offered her childhood home with a view of the ocean for us to stay for 3 nights in the Sunset District.   

Tuesday, Don had MOHS surgery at SF Veteran's Hospital to remove some basal cell carcinoma while I sat in the waiting room for 6 hours! And then dinner at the Cliff House for my reward and his??. 

Wednesday, we checked out the Legion of Honor, lunch at the de Young museum, and dinner at a West Portal chinese restaurant, where, I think, I  picked up a bug my intestines did not like.

Thursday, a walk to Stow lake in Golden Gate Park, then on to UCSF where we had a consultation with Dr. Chang who will do Don's brachytherapy. We still don't know when that will happen, but I'll call next week to get a date.
For the most part we had a good time.
