Happy Holidays Clan! We split Christmas day up, the morning with the Reids, afternoon at Mom & Don's. Ate way too much food but it sure was good, was you can see.
Well, Murray and I are back from Texas. We had a great time--the visit went too quickly. Lots of family, food, and fun. And lots of sleeping in and laying around, which we both really needed.
I put some pix on my Flickr page for your viewing enjoyment and will have more details on Flying Triangle soon.
Murray is taking his last midterm of the year tonight. One more semester to go! We actually have a couple of free weekends to spend together until the new year, and then it all dissolves until the Bar Exam in July...
Iron Chef Murray reigned supreme with his Best Dinner Rolls from Cooks. They were wonderful. And bbq turkey is the way to go. The smoked turkey flavor was achieved in just 2 1/2 hours. Delicious.
Robert Piper broke down just east of us on Mountain View, so he parked his rig in our driveway. Our neighbor, Gary, asked if we were logging.
One of the craft fairs will be held in this building which is up for sale. Ling-Yen just inherited the building which has been our city art building for years. Her father owned it and she needs to sell it, but just took it off the market until spring because no one is interested in buying it.
Another good glaze firing, so I'm about ready for the craft fairs. Only one piece was free of minor flaws, so I have work to do if I'm going to have enough pieces for my gallery showing next year.
Hey Gang! Well it took me a long time to finally post, my computer was having some issues. Mark- nothing personal, this was the earliest footage i could find- I must admit- It's petty cute! Bird
Happy Birthday Honey! This is from last year on her 40th. Her friend is young Miss Addison.
Happy Birthday, Glori, I have chosen a picture of you, but unable to load it. Maybe it is because I cut it down so as to just have you it....Maybe I'll try to load the whole picture.
This is the coffin that Ryan and I made over the weekend. He's been talking about wanting to make one for the last few years...I'm not sure what that means. When I went to the hardware store for supplies, the clerk asked me if I needed help. I explained to her that I was looking for paint and hinges for a coffin that I was building for my boy. With a look of sympathy, she then clasped her hands to her chest and said that she was very sorry to hear that.
We went to a dinner party last night, and the hosts had hired a caricaturist to draw everyone. Dude, when was the last time that happened to you at a dinner party? The artist had been doing it for 25 years, and it was great to watch him work. A possible career path for you, Ryan!
The hostess is in Murray's class--she and her husband were in the food business, but they got out and she wanted to do something "serious"--since when is food not serious? Grub and booze were both excellent, particularly the homemade limoncello.
I was poking around on Flickr, looking for photos of the Village to post, and found this set. The freaky thing is, though I don't know the photographer at all, I know one of the people featured in that set! Here's another set--I was glad to see a dog in the photos, maybe there's hope for Rex after all.
...from Empire College (he's not too worried about passing any more of his classes) will be held Sunday, June 8. You're all invited! (The Bar Exam is July 29-31. I recommend staying far away for that one.)
