Who Ya Gonna Vote For?

...come Super Tuesday? I need to send in my ballot soon. Since no tengo TV, I haven't been watching the debates, just listening to the post-debate and caucus commentary, mostly on NPR. I guess I can visit the various web sites to learn the details of their various plans, but I may just go with my gut. I heard a report (no doubt on NPR) that most people voted for the person that they judged best after only five seconds. Sounds about right. (Thanks to the JHers for discussion inspiration!)

Leaning (daily more sharply) toward Obama.

I'm still thinking. None of the top 3 dems are in favor of single payer health plans which I like. I only listened to the debate for 5 sec. I tend to think Clinton is more comfortable with the system and has a good advisor. Obama has good ideas but might be like Carter.

Yeh, I go along with Bren. However, still undecided.

Madhu and I are taking the train on Feb. 5 to NY at 8:30. so we need to vote early on that day, or absentee also.

OK, I went ahead and voted last night. I definitely wanted to feel the No. 2 prick of history, so it was between Barack and Hillary. Hillary won out. Though I'd be OK with any of the top three. Mur's leaning towards Edwards.

I like Edwards also. Like Clinton, love her husband, but I don't think she's electable. I actually think Obama may be our best bet-what a great thing to be able to say!!

It is exciting, whichever way. Heard an opinion this weekend that Obama's success is an indicator that we're slipping backwards as far as women's rights. Owner of the opinion points out that we're still mostly male in mostly-male jobs, like the police. Felt bad for a while, then noticed that the owner of the opinion is a very devout Catholic. Talk about mostly-male jobs!
Sorry about the long comment.

I see your point Brenda, but I think Obama is more savvy than Carter was. Obama has always been my favorite and the debates have only reinforced my good opinion of him. Though I must say that my opinion of Hillary has also improved. I still like Obama better. One thing that worries me about a Clinton White House is that we might end up with two presidents that may not always agree. Besides I have had it with dynasties, I think we need to start fresh.

My home page political cartoon showed Hillary and Obama as hares arguing aggressively with each other as McCain, depicted as a tortoise, crawling across the finish line. I actually think of him as the least of the evils that could befall us, but I do think the increasingly acrimonious debates, while inevitable, do not serve us well.
