All the rest of you are doing it, why shouldn't we?

Don made a sturdy table to hold Peter Pugger. I've thrown tall piece#1 and plan to make 3 more before November's show. This one is 20" and my kiln will hold a 25" piece. We'll see if I can do it. And, of course, glazing is yet to be done.
I have another tall piece that slumped so I'll use that to learn to spray glaze. I plan to put a black glaze on the inside, top, and bottom. Then I have a "runny" glaze that has reds, browns, and greens that I'll spray in the middle with a blue glaze. The problem is that thickness of application makes a big difference and I've never sprayed a glaze before. It is too big to dip which is what I usually do, but it is time I learned to spray.
Then I start thinking about it some more. Vases do not need food safe glazes...I can use any glaze I want. I was thinking of turquoise shades...Felicia likes bright colors and Restoration Hardware has good looking turquoise, bone, and white it's catalog cover...those might be good theme colors for the show. decisions, decisions...

What's your plan for glaze?

A good turquoise would be wonderful!
I agree with Felicia. Turquoise is such a beautiful color.
Thanks for your input.
