San Diego pottery workshop

I had great tequila lime shrimp at the Cafe Coyote in Old Town just a few blocks from my hotel.
This Kristen Keiffer cup sells for $30 (she sold out all she brought to the workshop) and no I didn't buy one because I spent my money on wine and shrimps. But her design techniques are not as hard and they looked to me when I saw her work in magazines....So we shall see....

I am proud to be in this community.

About 70 people from our area went to Ukiah to encourage the Board of Supervisors to continue the county's support of the interlibrary loan system between Sonoma, Mendocino, and Lake counties. Also, since the current county librarian is leaving, they are saying they will not replace her. The community owns the building and many of the books, but the county supplies the internet service and loan system with outside libraries which is vital to our area. Mendocino county is broke, so they are looking at all of the ways to trim expenses and our library was one of them. Well, they are giving at least until July and were quite impressed to see so many people fill their room and tell of their love and need for the library. One supervisor said that this was the most people he has seen come for a cause. Many of the 20 or so who went to the mike to speak I recognized, but had never heard them talk before. I live in a pretty smart, caring town. Alix Levine is the current president of our library.

Making up for lack of photos

I'm getting ready for a bisque firing, stuff on shelves are dry.
One of Don's many wood piles...let the cold, rainy days come!
Don is finishing the added step to my studio. No more concerns about slipping on the high step.

So sorry that it's been so long

It is a good garden time. Lots of green beans, broccoli, tomatoes, now the carrots are big enough to eat. We've had lots of pears, apples, raspberries, (the quail and birds have enjoyed the strawberries...a bite out of each one.
Don continues to pick up trash on the beach always coming home with a full back pack.
In case you didn't see the pic on facebook Murray came for a ride.
My camera doesn't work and I'm using Don's which has me confused about loading the pictures on my computer. I don't know how to just put on recent photos...it loads all every time. I get frustrated and just go to bed.
