Stormy Weather

A colleague at work sent this photo around, illustrating how we're just about in the eye of the storm. We have trees down and power out all over the county. I didn't go into the office today--I need a little more recuperation time and decided the better part of valor would be me staying off the road. And I just remembered, the longhorns are due to arrive today!!

Wow!Mom hasn't heard from AB & UD yet. Are they home safe?

I haven't called yet this morning, but many of the roads from SF to their place have been closed or (closer to the City) were really snarled yesterday, so it's possible they're not home yet. Or they're home with no phone or power.

Mom, comment soon!

Might they have gone straight home, meaning to call in the morning, and then found themselves without phones? Or early friday a.m.? What time did the bad weather start?

What are the longhorns?

We are waiting patiently. I am thinking of the values of the new technology, cell phones.

Highway 1 seems to be closed far north of Pt. Arena.

I just called and left a message with their neighbors, Tom and Mary.

So that's what the rest of the storm that hit us in Washington looked like. Thanks for checking out my blog Mark and family.
