Thanksgiving 2009

The day looks sunny but the wind was fierce yet these intrepid beach lovers enjoyed the outing.
We had a great bbq turkey dinner by chef Murray with his homemade rolls. (Don and I had french toast this morning with the last of the braided loaf...delicious). Mark made pecan pies that came out perfectly.
Myla responded to Murray's guitar strumming with happy coos and smiles.
Aren't I a lucky grandma???

Siena's picture of Grandpa Don.

Halloween

Siena and Bob made Mr. Dead. This is a swing by our driveway. You should see people, driving by, doing a double take while he's swinging in the wind!!!

How did I ever get along without the new shed??

I'm not fully settled, but I love my new glazing studio. Here bisque ware is waiting to be glazed. And how did I fit all of this in my old little throwing studio?

Horrors of horrors! the munckins!

Yesterday when I went into the garden one of the rose bushes looked like it had a hair cut, but I wasn't sure. This morning I was sure. The leaves of the rose bushes were stripped, the sugar peas gone, the lettuce and strawberries nibbled, and my green beans were munched. I had had such a delicious meal last night of fresh potatoes and green beans (with lots of butter)....so good. Can you see where plants are munched? This is not good.

Yosemite Trip

Bob and Kirsie rented a cabin at Fish Camp near Kirsie's anesthesia conference. We went to Glacier Point, Tuolumne Meadows (Don spent happy days there as a child), Mariposa Grove, and Sentinel Dome. The last photo is of Mono Lake.
We took the kayaks to Bass Lake where Bob, Siena, and I went swimming. Don and Kirsie worked on the King Tut puzzle in the evenings, claiming it was the most difficult one they had ever done....it was a love hate thing. (Do you remember helping me pick out this gift for Siena, Ryan?) I read the Twilight Saga thanks to Felicia. Wonderful vacation.

Felicia and Ryan with baby Myla

Ryan and I spent 2 days in SF. I had a great time with him! Here we are looking at the reflection mirror at the Exploratorium.
Both evenings we walked from our hotel to Pier 39. Ry's watching break dancers.
Checking out the sea lions.
Visiting the Steinhart. It was a wonderful trip!
